Magic Journey Advent Calendar

On Good Friday pilgrims always walk to the Santuario de Chimayo, a lovely old chapel more than two hundred years old and full of Spanish Colonial art. There is a room on one side with famous healing dirt. Hundreds of pilgrims, the vast majority of which are Spanish catholics from New Mexico participate in this tradition. The Santa Fe artist who made this advent was among those pilgrims on Good Friday of 2013. She walked all of the thirty-one miles between Santa Fe and Chimayo.
