Glass Ornaments
Palace of the Governors
The Palace of the Governors is the oldest public building in the United States. It was built in 1610 on the newly laid out plaza of Santa Fe. It has been New Mexico's history museum since 1912. The purchase of this ornament benefits the Palace of the Governors. This ornament was mouth blown and hand painted in Poland, the first in a growing series of glass ornaments called Landmarks of New Mexico". It is so detailed that you can see the Pueblo and Navajo vendors and their wares under the long portal of the Palace. The ornament is four inches wide.
